2002 is going to be difficult for IT buyers and sellers this is a given. Instead of wallowing in IT's diminished revenues or letting our constrained budgets blur our vision, we have to seek out opportunities for IT-driven innovation. To do that, we need to know IT's trajectory in 2002: the pitfalls to avoid and the opportunities to mine.
