When designing a project, our research consultants work with you to select from an array of standard and innovative methods, employing a wide range of quantitative and qualitative information-gathering approaches. And then we deliver a meaningful and accessible summary of findings along with our recommendations for interpretation and action in the format that's best for your needs.
We have the skills and capabilities to help you use and communicate your results. From simple executive summaries to interactive Web-based reporting, specific tools include:
- Clear, insightful interpretive reports in all formats
- Automated reporting for ongoing projects, such as tracking studies
- Customized reporting websites
- Simulation tools to perform "what if" scenarios
- Online and desktop data query tools
Not everyone on your team can watch the interviews or attend the focus groups. And what executive has time to review hours of video? Gartner Custom Research knows how to boil down the research to its key conclusions without losing the intimacy of customer contact using:
- Edited presentation tapes
- Digital multimedia presentations linking researcher and/or consumer video with results
- Videoconferencing
- Annotated (searchable) video on DVD
You may have folks on your team who really want to roll up their sleeves and get into the data. We are happy to give them the means to do so, with such tools as:
- Dynamic Topline. A proprietary, online tool that gives access to raw quantitative data as it is being collected. Monitor progress and spot patterns early in the project. Create "banner sets" to cross-tabulate the data for initial analysis and hypothesis testing. View results in a frequency graph to see the pattern and distribution of responses for a given question. Or, drill down to examine a specific respondent's entire survey, including verbatim comments.
- Data Query Tool. A PC-based application that uses customizable cross-tabulation tables and dynamic graphs to allow close examination of study data without the need to learn a complex statistical software program. The Data Query Tool is a final deliverable - basically a tool that brings the final data set "alive" for ongoing analysis.
- Simulators. Easy-to-use, interactive tools that enable the user to simulate market dynamics under different product mix, product configuration or pricing scenarios. These custom-built tools can be used repeatedly over time as long as the inputs remain relevant.
