WHAT? In its 2nd year, Gartner's Portals, Content and Collaboration event hosts submissions for the second annual Gartner High Performance Workplace Excellence Award. The HPW award is dedicated to promoting excellence and innovation in workplace management and technology. Gartner HPW analysts will select the most noteworthy finalists who will be invited to the Summit on March 19-21 in Orlando, FL to vie for the top award.


The HPW Award recognizes:

Business Innovation

The smartest workplace investments (organizational, physical, technical, operational, etc.) that resulted in people creating new competitive advantages for their enterprise.

Culture Change

Those who effected significant culture change that dramatically improved their business.

Narrow, Fast and High Impact

According to conventional wisdom, the best projects require long term planning and enterprise-wide deployment. Sometimes the opposite is true. Projects that combine great linkage to specific, board-level strategic initiatives, narrowly defined user groups, clearly defined, specific objectives like helping find and evaluate acquisition candidates and a quickly achieved, high return on investment.

  • Although Vendors or Service Providers are not eligible, they may assist their customers in submitting an application

Finalists will be selected by a team of Gartner Analysts and industry-experts. They will be asked to present their case study at the Portals, Content and Collaboration Summit on March 19-21, 2007 in Orlando, FL. Summit attendees will vote to select the Gartner High Performance Excellence Award winners from these finalists. The winner will be announced at the Summit.
