STAMFORD, CONN., November 19, 2001 -- Gartner, Inc. (NYSE: IT and ITB) today announced that RBC Financial Group is the winner of the Gartner CIO Choice Award. The award will be presented today by Gartner's CIO, Bart Stanco, who led Gartner's IT team in the selection process.
Gartner's CIO Choice Award is presented annually to a company that best embodies the qualities of an IT best practices leader. Among RBC's achievements was its use of business intelligence to better service and sell to customers, excellence in leveraging customer relationship management and business intelligence to reduce fraud, the creation of an online mode for real-time data updates, and the implementation of video-on-demand training for all associates.

RBC was selected from more than 100 nominations submitted for the award.
