Jeffrey Hewitt is a research vice president at Gartner, where he is part of the Data Center Convergence team. As a part of that team, Mr. Hewitt analyzes technology developments, end-user requirements and business model changes that relate to the evolution of the data center, including data center segmentation, hyper-scale data centers, low-power processor servers, virtualization, cloud computing, data center infrastructure management, modular data center solutions, data center containers, blade servers, server form factor choices, power/cooling technologies, and infrastructure convergence/fabric implementations. He produces research based on this analysis that includes success-oriented strategic and tactical recommendations for technology and service providers, end users, and invest clients. In addition, Mr. Hewitt maintains a global trend view for all server types and contributes to the worldwide Quarterly Statistics and forecast views of North America.
