Dane Anderson is a research vice president at Gartner. He focuses on the IT services and outsourcing marketplace, with specific focus on infrastructure and application outsourcing. Before that he spent five years with Perot Systems in various areas, including human resources, corporate strategy, competitive analysis and global sales. Before entering the private sector, he served in the U.S. Army in various leadership roles for more than 10 years. During his military tenure, Mr. Anderson's primary focus was on task organization (organizational structure, strategy, and tactical/operational planning and execution) for battlefield logistics support, including command, control and communications.
