Earl Perkins is a Research Vice President in Systems, Security and Risk at Gartner. Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Perkins held director positions at Microsoft in market research as well as vice president and senior director positions in network, security and risk strategies at the IT research firm Meta Group (acquired by Gartner in 2005). He also held IT management and technical roles at Entergy, an electric utility based in New Orleans, and senior manager positions at London Energy in London, England.
