Andrew Walls is a research director in Gartner Research, where he specializes in information security practices, tools and markets in social media, enterprise governance, awareness/communications, directories, investigations and security program management. Security practices and markets in the Asia/Pacific region are also a focus of his research agenda.
Previous Experience
Mr. Walls has more than 30 years of experience in the IT industry. Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Walls worked for four years as a principal security consultant for Cybertrust Australia, where his practice focused on ISMS development, security governance, breach investigations and compliance assessments. Before that, he worked for four years in financial services security for HBOSA (BankWest). Prior to his concentration on information security, Mr. Walls worked in software development, product management, database design and IT management for commercial and educational organizations.
