Roles and Responsibilities
Roger Fulton is a vice president and distinguished analyst in Gartner Research, where he is the role service director for Customer Insights and leads the development and delivery of quarterly reports. Customer Insights aggregates Gartner's records of research support calls with end-user clients. Typically, Gartner records the topics, vendors and decision points mentioned during half-hour discussions between the client and a Gartner analyst. The resulting analyses identify important collective trends in the content of calls – providing unique insights into what's on the mind of Gartner clients – while maintaining absolute individual client confidentiality.
Previous Experience
Mr. Fulton has spent the past decade leading research into the market dynamics of the software and services industries in Europe and North America, following an engineering and marketing career in networked systems. He has had particular focus on the business value of IT and worldwide spending forecasts. Mr. Fulton is widely experienced in strategic analysis and advice for leading vendors on competitive market positioning, trend forecasting, transforming business models and business development.
