Roles and Responsibilities
I help clients to design social and collaboration initiatives that empower individuals to connect, collaborate and work together more effectively; to develop business social networking roadmaps; and to select social technologies that best fit their needs. Before Gartner I was a founding member of a pioneering Web development company responsible for high-profile European interactive and transactional online services. Previously, as a postdoctoral research fellow, I worked on visual programming languages, artificial intelligence and Web technology, where I led the development of one of the first open-source Web publishing systems.
Previous Experience
Prior to joining Gartner in 1997, Dr. Drakos was a founding member of a pioneering Web development company and was responsible for several high-profile interactive and transactional websites for European clients. Previously, he was employed as a postdoctoral research fellow, working on object-oriented programming, visual languages, artificial intelligence and Web technology. During that time, he also led the effort around one of the first open-source Web publishing systems, which is still widely used today.
