2009 was not an easy year for IT operations management software. The market declined 1.8%, down from 10.6% growth in 2008, to generate $14.2 billion. Growth areas were availability and performance (distributed) and job scheduling and run book automation, which grew 6.1% and 0.4%, respectively.
