Smartphone sales are forecast to reach 43% of mobile devices by 2013. Symbian will continue to lead but its share will be eroded over the forecast period. We estimate that by 2013 Android will rise to account for 20.5% of smartphones sold worldwide, ranking second behind Symbian.
