The bad news for semiconductor vendors is getting worse as they feel the impact of the financial crisis. Gartner's latest forecast predicts an even steeper fall of 24% in chip revenue in 2009. This figure reflects 4Q08's record drop and a likely decline of at least 17% in 1Q09.
