Dean Freeman is a Research VP in Gartner Research, where he is part of the Semiconductor Internet of Things Center of Excellence. He is responsible for tracking intelligent lighting and how it interacts with smart cities, buildings and homes. He also looks at how the building management systems interact and create a smart building. He also tracks flexible electronics and semiconductors as they pertain to the Internet of Things. In addition to the IoT, Mr. Freeman tracks emerging semiconductor technology, which includes nanotechnology and LEDs.
