Amy Teng is a Principal Research Analyst in Gartner's Technology and Service Provider Research group. She focuses on consumer electronics technology trends, particularly succeeding from her previous teardown experience, and consistently observing Taiwan-based ODMs and major electronic component suppliers. Her recent research has focused on microcontrollers (MCUs), human-machine interfaces, displays, touchscreens, wearable electronics and wireless power charge.

Prior to joining Gartner, Ms. Teng worked at Acer for seven years, where she led the service information department, responsible for serviceability and usability reviews. Previous to this, Ms. Teng worked for Sailing Strong as director of the product development department.
