Leif-Olof Wallin is a Research Vice President in Gartner Research, where he advises enterprise clients on all aspects of networking infrastructure and services with a special focus on mobile. He heads up the Key Initiative Mobile Enterprise Strategy within Gartner. His research has a special focus on enterprise mobility, where he pays special attention to mobile strategy, both stand-alone and as part of a digital strategy or digital workplace, mobile application infrastructure, mobile security, remote access, mobile device management and enterprise sourcing of mobile applications. Mr. Wallin has been covering the M2M and telematics aspects of IoT for well over a decade, long before IoT became established.

Leif-Olof Wallin's Recent Gartner Activity
Mr. Wallin has 35 years of experience in the IT industry, including extensive international experience. He is a frequent speaker at events on wireless technologies and mobile infrastructure, including their impact on commercial best practices and telecom service providers. Mr. Wallin joined Gartner in April 2005 with the acquisition of Meta Group, where he led the mobile infrastructure research on a global basis. Prior to joining Meta Group in April 2001, Mr. Wallin was vice president of European operations at Surgency (formerly Benchmarking Partners), where he led a research practice on the mobile Internet and helped build European presence. Previously, he was chief technology officer for Industri-Matematik International, a recognized leading supplier of supply chain execution solutions.
