He provided strategic guidance on security architecture, operations and the selection of key technologies. He also designed many security solutions that are now widely adopted within the alliance as de facto NATO solutions, also generating significant cost savings within NATO. Mr. Fritsch is the author of the book "Firewalls Illustrated," which is a popular textbook at German universities, and is also the author of several academic publications on functional programming in computing clouds.
