    Opportunities and Challenges of Cloud: Year End Update, 2014 The adoption of cloud computing and cloud services are taking another turn in their course of maturity. There are different views of what is important by adopting organizations in different countries, and CIOs and their peers within the enterprise often have conflicting views. The buying power outside IT continues to increase, with 42% of IT spending funded outside the IT budget Thirty-two percent of organizations look to external third-parties to manage their private cloud. The opportunity for service providers has never been better, given that 90% of organizations surveyed use external providers for cloud-related services. Understanding the perceptions, attitudes and behaviors of different levels of management, business stake-holders and IT front-line constituents will determine service providers' success when designing, selling and delivering cloud-related services.
