Darin Stewart is a Research Director in the Gartner for Technical Professionals group. Mr. Stewart covers enterprise content management, search and knowledge management, with an emphasis on metadata, taxonomy and other semantic technologies.

Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Stewart was director of research and collaboration systems for Oregon Health & Science University responsible for research and research administration information systems, Web and intranet initiatives, and workflow applications. Before that, he served in information management leadership roles for a variety of organizations ranging from Internet startups to major universities. He is the author of the book “Building Enterprise Taxonomies.”
