This position is for a Senior Java Software Developer to build and support web based applications.

• Designing, implementing, testing and supporting J2EE applications.
• Lead or contribute to architecture and technical design discussions
• Lead or contribute to code reviews and technical design/specifications
• Lead or contribute to development of custom code
• Documenting design ideas using UML
• Contribute to the review and analysis of business requirements
• Create, maintain, and present technical documentation to different audiences and levels
• Perform technical assessments and sizing.
• Work with 3rd party vendor on technical design/specifications, development, testing and deployment to ensure the product meets our requirements.
• Candidates should have extensive prior software development experience with web-based technologies and with object oriented design and analysis.

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
• 8+ years experience in software development of complex systems.
• Minimum of 5 years experience with J2EE including JSP, Servlets, EJB, JDBC, HTML.
• Must have prior experience with JavaMail, Weblogic, Oracle, SQL.
• Desired experience: XML/XSL, Ant, PVCS, Junit, HttpUnit, Struts, JMS, Web Services
• Experience applying Design Patterns.
• Experience with UML design and experience using modeling tools.
• Experience developing highly scaleable web applications.
• Be able to accurately provided work estimates and deliver projects on schedule.
• Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to mentor, have strong analytical and technical documentation skills.
