Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities and leads that may come from meetings, clients, other consultants, the sales force, vendors and others.
  • Support and assist the sales force by making joint sales calls.
  • Develop proposals and scopes of work to effect solutions based on client needs, and present and discuss and negotiate.
  • Provide clients with effective solutions and recommendations for assigned engagements.

  • Develop these solutions based on consulting skills (incumbent?s and others) and all facets of Gartner?s products and capabilities.
  • Assure that solutions and recommendations are supported by Gartner?s overall research base.
  • Depending on project size, incumbent may supervise other personnel, assigning work, establishing and maintaining schedules, controlling project expenses and integrating individual work into a coherent and quality deliverable.
  • Ensure quality work or deliverables are captured in a manner enabled to be leveraged by other consultants.
  • Complete additional projects as required.
Qualifications:

    Extensive management consulting and project management experience with either business/mission design and/or large IT systems planning, procurement, and/or development. Specific content in IT architecture, strategic planning, investment management, enterprise solutions, and other Gartner Consulting service offerings. Experience and qualifications being considered include:

  • Knowledge of a broad range of information technologies.
  • Excellent understanding of IT and its business implications.
  • 10 to 20 years of "hands on" management consulting and experience in conducting strategy level consulting projects.
  • Program and project management experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Graduate level degree, for example, MPA, MBA, MS in information systems desired.
  • Excellent track record in project managing large strategy level consulting engagements.
  • Strong project oversight/IV&V experience for large system implementation projects.
