We have an opportunity for a Research Analyst to join the prestige brand in IT research, consulting and advice that is experiencing a strong increase in demand.

Gartner Research is a global team of dedicated subject experts who work to create Gartner's marketing leading knowledge base and key intellectual property.

Reporting to the Managing Vice President WW Enterprise Management and Storage, you will develop relationships with major industry vendors in India and beyond as required. You will be responsible for the collation of statistical data and contribute to the preparation of written reports with a strong focus on key trends and developments in the IT&T industry in the regions and markets within India and Asia Pacific. You will be required to work closely with local Gartner Analysts and Sales teams, whilst also working as part of a globally dispersed virtual community.

You will have a keen insight into trends, new developments and issues in the IT industry in India and Asia Pacific to the extent that you will be able to actively contribute to the global agenda of the Gartner IT research community and provide direct inquiry support to Gartners Global client base.

Ideally you would have had at least 5 years experience in a market research field or in a product marketing role or similar with a major Enterprise Storage hardware vendor, or as a Storage analyst for a competitor research firm. You will have a good understanding of market research methodologies and principals. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.
