Summary:

Gartner, the world's leading IT research and advisory firm is looking for full-time candidates to join its consulting organization across its various practice areas. As a Management Consultant at Gartner, you will work on strategic engagements, helping clients to deliver high business-impact IT projects, leveraging Gartner's dominant market researchers and analysts.

As a Consultant, you will have the opportunity to shape the strategy, architecture, sourcing, and risk strategies for the world's top users of technology. Opportunities exist in multiple EMEA locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet with client and develop project questions, gain understanding of the client's environment and assure that recommendations can be implemented
  • Analyze research findings and prepare written reports and recommendations, which are normally presented to clients in person.
  • Write and present proposals to prospective clients and contracts for engagements.
  • Participate on consulting teams from inception to completion
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Leverage Gartner research and analysis into actionable strategic analysis on client's behalf
  • Execute on specific methodologies
  • Perform financial analysis
Qualifications:

  • 10+ years total experience sought;
  • 2-3 years consulting experience from top consulting firm strongly preferred,
  • MBA from top program.
  • Industry experience, excellent customer relationship track record, Sourcing, IT management and critical Program Management.
Skills requirements:
  • Expertise with strategic consulting frameworks and facility with financial principles such as asset valuation and net present value
  • Must have excellent project management skills, professionalism, strong work ethic and willingness to travel
  • Ability to analyze problems
  • Use judgement effectively
  • Ability to Make quick decisions
  • Excellent communication, presentation and analytical skills
  • Candidates with a natural aptitude for critical thinking, analytical models, and financial analysis will be favored over specialists.
  • Fluent in English; Fluent in language of location applied for.
Domain Expertise:

    High Tech industry experience is a plus. e.g. Telecom, Networking, Computers, Electronic Equipment, Business Applications, Semiconductors, Content/Media, Outsourcing and Systems Integration.

    Preferred but not required is some horizontal experience within the high tech industry e.g. Architecture, Benchmarking, Sourcing, Business Process Outsourcing, Critical Program Management, Product Development, Channel Management, R&D, Product Management, Corporate Strategy, Competitive Analysis, Financial Analysis, High-Tech Investment Banking, Venture Capital.

Experience of working in a government environment also useful but not essential.
