Gartner Research is a global team of dedicated subject experts who create key intellectual property and build our leading base of market knowledge. Within this team we have an opportunity for a Principal Analyst to join the most prestigious brand in IT.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President - Enterprise Systems, you will develop relationships with major server vendors in India, and will be responsible for the collation of statistical data and the preparation of reports with a particular emphasis on the enterprise server market including market analysis, user advice and market positioning.
You will have a deep understanding and keen insight into trends, new developments and issues in the Enterprise Server markets within India and Key South East Asian markets, Asia Pacific and globally to the extent that you will be able to actively contribute to the global agenda of the Gartner research community and support the sales force when required.
Qualifications:
To be successful you require +7 years experience preferably from an Enterprise Server industry background, you may previously have worked as a product manager or similar with a major vendor, a senior journalist in an IT publication or as a senior analyst in a competitor firm. Knowledge of Multinational and Indian vendors together with major users will be well regarded. You will also require exceptional Spoken English, English writing and English presentation skills and a strong ability to interpret and analyse complex statistical data.
We seek a pro-active, extremely well-organised person who can work effectively autonomously as well as contribute to the greater team. Excellent all round communication skills in English is essential.
