Summary:
| We are seeking a PC Analyst to join our Client Platforms team. This worldwide team is dedicated to providing information technology suppliers, active in the PC market, with forward looking strategic and tactical market analysis as well as advisory services. The person we are seeking must demonstrate strong forecast modeling skills, be at ease and enjoys, the manipulation of numbers, the building databases and spreadsheet analysis, and be keen to further his/her IT knowledge to evolve into an accomplished PC Forecast analyst. This position will be based exclusively in San Jose, California there will be no permanent remote. |

Responsibilities:
- Build PC forecast models in collaboration with the wider worldwide team in North America, Asia Pacific and Latin America.
- Create and publish forecasts on a quarterly, semi-annual and annual basis, typically looking 3 to 5 years out, that draw on the expertise our forecasters in semi-conductors, telecommunications and IT services.

- Forecasting IT markets Worldwide and by region
- Modeling established emerging markets
- Modeling vertical segmentation for PC markets
- Modeling other segmentation such as size of business
- Supporting regional forecasting activities
- Market performance analysis using external financial sources
- Compiling market size estimates per, business size, and vertical market
- Data transformation and manipulation
- Build upon this quantitative data with qualitative information, to examine the broader industry issues and market dynamics. This knowledge will be delivered through the writing of articles and reports, responding to telephone inquiries and making in-person and telephone presentations to clients.
- Show team spirit, work collaboratively with all associates at all levels in hierarchy, in all geographies.
- Demonstrate good communication skills both internally and externally.

Qualifications:
- At least BA or BS degree or equivalent, preferably in Statistics/Mathematics with forecasting option or possibly Engineering, International Business/Marketing.
- Experience and a keen liking for numbers manipulation, databases and spreadsheet modeling
- Demonstrated experience or knowledge of forecast methods and modeling
- Knowledge of Essbase is desirable
- Demonstrated analytical ability
- The drive to take initiative and work both independently and as a team member
- An interest and understanding of IT and a strong desire to refine this knowledge
- Ability to work with analysts of multiple cultural backgrounds
- Fluent in the English language
