An Account Manager is an office based sales role with joint ownership and responsibility for the retention and growth of existing client revenue. Primarily the focus is on maximising the value that clients receive from their existing investment with Gartner, and secondly to identify and generate growth opportunities within the assigned client base, and closing these opportunities as appropriate.
Responsibilities:
Sell Gartner products and services to the respective territory by telephone
Strategically plan each and every renewal
Understand business issues for purchasing Gartner services with key decision makers
Work with accounts to build and develop relationships
Manage a sales territory of approximately 30-40 accounts
Produce new business within the designated territory
Provide regular forecasts on target attainment
Qualifications:
Graduate calibre
2+ year sales experience within technology field
Ability to take initiative and work independently as well as in a team.
Able to thrive in a quota driven environment
Must be PC literate
Strong business acumen
Excellent communication and inter-departmental skills
