Responsibilities:

    This senior position as a Gartner analyst in the research organization, requires that the candidate be able to analyze, write, participate actively in the sales cycle, consult, present in front of large and small audiences, work with senior managers and senior executives, develop futuristic complex and compelling scenarios, develop research agendas and scenarios, and work with clients (via the telephone and on-site) solving strategic issues and problems, all in the context of a technology and business environment. There is a quality aspect to the position and a volume aspect to the job.

Qualifications:

    This is a senior position and requires the person be completely conversant with FMS Applications Software and also have deep experience of deployment and implementation of such software including how to implement into multi-suite application backbone environments. The ideal candidate will have both broad experience of general ERP implementations and deployments together with a focus on FMS. Knowledge of HMS systems is also desirable.

    The candidate will understand how the Business Applications software market is developing, how FMS Applications Software are evolving, how process integration is achieved, and how applications software should be deployed. Combined this will help Gartner clients to leverage their $multi-million applications software investments from a holistic, life-cycle and portfolio analysis.

    Strong understanding of the major software applications vendors - Oracle, SAP, Microsoft, Siebel is a must, as well as experience in understanding the CIO issues in managing a software applications portfolio.

    It is required that the candidate have currency with these products and technologies, has worked with user organizations to evaluate them (for consideration of acquisition and deployment), has experience in applications implementation, and change management, etc.

    The candidate must be a logical and conceptual thinker, able to work in an environment with multiple goals, and be able to deliver with great quality and on time.

    Candidate should have business applications software experience with experience in deployment and implementation, marketing and/or consulting experience.

    Skills and experiences include conceptual as well as critical thinking, creativity, fine writing, presentation/speaking etc, with a solid technology and business background.
