Summary:
Candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining Gartner's publishing systems. The position requires extensive experience in software development with web-based technologies using object oriented analysis, design and implementation techniques. |

Responsibilities:
- Develop new and maintain existing J2EE code
- Design, implement, test and support applications
- Work within specifications provided to meet programming assignment goals and objectives
- Write SQL and apply relational database design principles
- Develop and maintain templates and workflows written in PERL
- Take responsibility for on-schedule delivery of features and releases
- Lead or contribute to development of custom code
- Lead or contribute to architecture and technical design
- Lead or contribute to software requirements, design, and code inspections
- Review and analyze business requirements
- Create, maintain, and present technical information to different audiences
- Work with 3rd party vendors on technical design/specifications, development, testing, deployment and support to ensure the product meets requirements

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science from a four-year college or university
- 8 or more years experience in software development
- 5 or more years experience with J2EE including JSP, Servlets, EJB, and design patterns
- 5 or more years experience with PERL
- 3 or more years experience in software development on UNIX and MS-Windows operating systems
- 3 or more years experience with XML/XSL, HTML, JavaScript and CSS
- Experience with Weblogic application server and Oracle relational database management system
- Experience developing highly scaleable web applications
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good time management skills
- Clear, effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with limited supervision
