Summary:

Gartner Research is a global team of dedicated subject experts who create key intellectual property and build our leading base of market knowledge. Within this team we have an opportunity for a Principal Analyst to join the most prestigious brand in IT.

Responsibilities:

    Reporting to the Managing Vice President of High Performance Workplace, you will develop relationships with major industry vendors and will be responsible for the collation of statistical data and the preparation of reports with a particular emphasis on high performance workplace. This will involve coverage of major topic areas such as enterprise content management, collaboration, workgroup, intranet and email.

    You will have a thorough insight into trends, new developments and issues in the high performance workplace market across Asia Pacific to the extent that you will be able to actively contribute to the global agenda of the Gartner research community and support the sales force when required.

Qualifications:

    Ideally you would have had at least 8-12 years experience in a market research field or in a product marketing role or similar with a major software vendor, or as an analyst for a competitor research firm. You will require a good understanding of software technologies, market research methodologies and principals, and knowledge of local and multinational vendors will be highly regarded.

    We seek a pro-active, extremely well organised person who can work effectively autonomously as well as contribute to the globally diverse team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential as are project management skills and the ability to interpret complex statistical data.

    Software industry experience in the field of content and document management in the context of the high performance workplace would be advantageous.

    Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a related discipline are essential.
