Sales
The rapidly expanding Sales organization is the driving force behind worldwide growth at Gartner. Our associates thrive in a high-recognition, high-reward environment in which they renew and develop relationships with clients around the globe.

Who We Are
Whether you’re interested in Inside or Field Sales, Sales provides unparalleled career opportunities. We support our 20% to 25% year-over-year growth with an industry-leading training program and a culture of achievement in which associates are responsible—and generously rewarded—for exceeding expectations.

Global Opportunities
Sales associates are based in many countries around the world. Ours is truly a global operation in which geographic barriers disappear. Typically, our Inside Sales representatives work out of our regional headquarters in the U.S., U.K. and Australia, while our Field Sales representatives work in numerous smaller, local offices located near current and prospective clients.

Career Paths
The Sales career paths include options within Inside Sales, Field Sales and Sales Operations:

Inside Sales: Primarily based in Brisbane, Australia; Egham, U.K.; or Fort Myers, (Florida) U.S., associates in the rapidly growing SME (small and midsize enterprise) Sales organization manage their own territories, have frequent opportunities to meet clients face to face and are responsible for building and growing strategic relationships with C-level executives in enterprises with revenue of less than $1 billion. Applicants should be self-motivated, with the ability to build relationships, identify customer needs, make recommendations and ultimately drive sales and deliver value.

Field Sales: Associates work in one of three roles: Account Executives renew and grow existing clients; Business Development Executives develop new business opportunities; and Sales Associates help grow accounts with leading multinational companies. Applicants should have five to 10 years of sales experience and the ability to develop relationships with CIO- and CEO-level clients.

Sales Operations: Supports the global Sales organization, with the objectives of increasing overall sales effectiveness and achieving revenue targets. Following are the six areas of Sales Operations.
