John Seely Brown is the Independent Co-Chairman of the Deloitte Center for Edge Innovation. In addition, he is a visiting scholar in digital media and advisor to the Provost at University of Southern California. Prior to that he was the Chief Scientist of Xerox Corporation and the director of its Palo Alto Research Center (PARC) - a position he held for nearly two decades. While head of PARC, Brown expanded the role of corporate research to include such topics as organizational learning, knowledge management, complex adaptive systems, and nano/mems technologies. He was a cofounder of the Institute for Research on Learning (IRL). His personal research interests include the management of radical innovation, digital youth culture, digital media, and new forms of communication and learning.
John, or as he is often called - JSB - is a member of the National Academy of Education and a Fellow of the American Association for Artificial Intelligence and of AAAS and a Trustee of the MacArthur Foundation. He serves on numerous public boards (Amazon, Corning, and Varian Medical Systems) and private boards of directors. He has published over 100 papers in scientific journals and was awarded the Harvard Business Review's 1991 McKinsey Award for his article, "Research that Reinvents the Corporation" and again in 2002 for his article "Your Next IT Strategy." In 2004 he was inducted in the Industry Hall of Fame. With Paul Duguid he co-authored the acclaimed book The Social Life of Information (HBS Press, 2000) that has been translated into 9 languages with a second addition in April 2002, and with John Hagel he co-authored the book The Only Sustainable Edge which is about new forms of collaborative innovation. It also provides a novel framework for understanding what is really happening in off-shoring in India and China and how each are inventing powerful news ways to innovate, learn and accelerate capability building.
JSB received a BA from Brown University in 1962 in mathematics and physics and a PhD from University of Michigan in 1970 in computer and communication sciences. In May of 2000 Brown University awarded him an honorary Doctor of Science Degree. It was followed by an Honorary Doctor of Science in Economics conferred by the London Business School in July 2001. And in May of 2004 he received an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Claremont Graduate School. In 2005 he received an honorary doctorate from University of Michigan and delivered their commencement speech. He is an avid reader, traveler and motorcyclist. Dr. Michael B. Johnson heads Pixar's Moving Pictures Group in the Studio Tools Division, where he and his team design, develop and support the production pipeline for film development, story, and editorial.
Dr. Johnson first came to Pixar Animation Studios in May 1993, to create custom tools for production including a pre-visualization system, lighting tools, animation tools, 3D paint, and set-dressing system. Over the past 15 years his team has designed, developed and supported the pipeline for film development, story and editorial by lowering the barriers of communication and collaboration between department. His work highlights how collaborating on research between creativity and innovation at Pixar has resulted in some of the worlds' greatest animated feature films. Prior to Pixar, he worked for NCSA, Thinking Machines, IBM and MIT's Media Lab.

Larry Sanger, Ph.D in philosophy, has focused his life work around epistemology, the theory of knowledge. He has been involved with various online encyclopedia projects - he is the former editor-in-chief of Nupedia, chief organizer (2001-2002) and co-founder of its successor Wikipedia and the creator of Citizendium, an expert-guided encyclopedia. From his position at Nupedia, he assembled the process for article development. During the early years of Wikipedia, he was the community leader and formed much of its original policies. He proposed Citizendium, first envisioned as a fork of Wikipedia. It was launched on March 25, 2007 as "a new and better way to use wikis, and an interesting, dynamic way to build an online knowledge base. Citizendium is looking like the next step in the evolution of the collaborative Internet."

Dwayne Spradlin is President and Chief Executive Officer of InnoCentive, Inc. Previously, he served as President at business information company Hoover's Inc. and before that he was President and Chief Operating Officer of Starcite, Inc., an online meeting and events planning business. Spradlin served as Senior Vice President of Corporate and Business Development for Verticalnet Inc., the world's largest portfolio of online industry marketplaces. Earlier, Spradlin was a Director in the E-Business and Emerging Technology practice at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He holds a BA in Applied Mathematics and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He resides in Southlake, TX with his wife and three sons.

Paul Stiros came to NineSigma from Procter & Gamble where he spent his career and held a number of positions of increasing responsibility in Research and Development in the Fabric and Home Care division. Most recently, Stiros was Director Corporate Function R&D in P&G's Corporate Innovation and Knowledge group where he worked with service providers in the area of open innovation. Prior to that, Stiros had global R&D responsibility for new business development for the Fabric and Home Care where, among other projects, he was involved with the launch of the Swiffer® dry duster and Swiffer® Wet Jet business. In addition, he was responsible for the Fabric and Home Care global business unit's licensing and business development effort, with direct P&L responsibility. Stiros holds a number of patents.

Brad Lawson is President/CEO of YourEncore, Incorporated. Mr. Lawson co-founded YourEncore in October 2003. Lawson is known for being an entrepreneurial executive, exhibiting significant experience in building and managing professional services and business consulting organizations. Lawson has served in senior sales and marketing roles for companies such as Tandem Computers and Sun Microsystems. In 1996, Mr. Lawson co-founded Allegiant Technology Group where he focused the business on customer relationship management. The success he achieved during his time with Allegiant resulted in the Ernst & Young 2000 Entrepreneur of the Year award in the category of Technology and Business Consulting. Mr. Lawson is a native of Indiana and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Evansville.
