About this Event
This Gartner briefing will help organizations understand how BI and performance management are evolving and what strategies should be adopted to get the best return from these practices.
Gartner’s annual CIO Survey found that business intelligence remains the highest technology priority for CIOs in 2008. Why? Because they still believe that the majority of business managers don’t have the information they need to make effective decisions. This shows that much of the prior investment made in BI technology is not reaching key business users and helping them better measure or manage their performance.
The key to success is understanding how BI is changing to move beyond reporting and so reach more users and to place greater focus on performance management. However, the rapid market consolidation and increasing dominance of the megavendors makes it crucial to understand the changing market dynamics and vendor strategies to support this evolving world of BI and performance management.
