Summit Format
In four tracks, plus two virtual tracks, 20 Gartner analysts will present the latest research and advice on how to quickly move your ITO, BPO and Global Sourcing initiatives in the right direction. The Gartner speakers will be complemented by distinguished keynote speakers and senior level case study speakers from leading institutions throughout Europe.Track 1: Reassessing Sourcing Strategies for Challenging Times
Sourcing strategies in these challenging times must be fast, realistic, and they must incorporate cost containment and flexibility to cope with business change. This track will demonstrate how sourcing strategy, governance and collaboration between internal and external teams are critical to business success.
Track 2: Marketplace and Providers: Accelerating Your Choices, Minimizing Your Risks
During turbulent times it is vital to understand the market reality and trends, how these trends affect your providers and what new offerings are emerging. New entrants, alternative delivery models and new service offerings require that the services market and the health of the key providers must be constantly reviewed. In this track, we provide Gartner's views on the European and Global IT services market, the providers and their offerings.
Track 3: Negotiating for Cost, Flexibility and Risk Mitigation
The current economy puts contracts under pressure to deliver more flexibility at a lower cost. The integration and co-existence of industrialized/utility IT services and customized, traditional models is a challenge that must be met by effectively structured contracts. In this track we identify negotiation and re-negotiation strategies and terms and conditions, SLAs and performance metrics to take advantage of both alternative and traditional models alike.
Track 4: Managing Sourcing and Vendors
Multisourcing and vendor management require a set of interdependent decisions and processes. Best in class organizations are developing vendor management from a set of procurement tasks to a mature discipline that cross the boundaries of multiple organizational entities. This track will provide the building blocks and practical best practices for evolving sourcing and vendor management into a mature, and more effective, discipline.
Virtual Track: Leveraging Offshore and Global Delivery
Global sourcing is now mainstream in Europe for applications services, with the Infrastructure services and BPO representing the new frontier. Country options extend far beyond India, with Gartner tracking over 30 countries as viable offshore destinations. Here we present Gartner's latest country analysis, and identify the best practices to effectively execute and deliver long term value.
Virtual Track: Executing an Effective BPO Strategy
New business process service models offer both cost optimization and business improvement. But the outcomes depend on selecting the right model as well as the right provider and transition process. This track will provide insight and guidance into creating and sustaining the optimal BPO strategy for your organization.
