You will also have the opportunity to learn about the most effective ways and the tools required to succeed in a SOA-centric, globally distributed development environment.
Track B: Application Modernisation
Many organisations are being forced to reconsider the pace of traditional technology improvement programs due to budget pressure, aging applications and infrastructure, and persistent business demands. This track will explore best practice ways that your organisation can approach modernising your business processes and applications to meet future business and user demands. You'll also receive valuable information on how to tackle modernisation holistically from identifying legacy programs, to integration and governance.
Track C: The Web & Beyond
All areas of enterprise computing are being influenced by the Web. However, while some aspects of the Web are ready for mainstream use, other aspects are either leading edge or currently not appropriate for use in mainstream enterprises today. This situation creates risks and challenges but also creates some exciting opportunities. This track will focus on how enterprises can use Web 2.0 technologies to efficiently manage the Web infrastructure and enhance the user experience. You will gain practical advice on what you can do today and strategic insight on future web capabilities and how you can use them to your advantage.
