Agenda

At the Gartner Information Security Summit 2009 you'll gain access to the hottest research topics, case studies, roundtable discussions, inspiring keynotes and more.

Agenda Tracks

TRACK A - Information Security Management Planning
The job of Chief Information Security Officer has evolved. Sometimes you came up through the ranks, maybe from networking, maybe from audit. You may know something about "the business" or maybe you're focused -- too much -- on technological solutions to information security problems. These sessions will help you round out your knowledge and skills to meet the challenge of the job.

TRACK B - Network Security Professionals: Addressing the Threats
Connectivity. Without it we're isolated and can't do business. The perimeter is porus, the challenges growing, the threats mutating and the bad guys are getting more and more creative. Keeping up means understanding how the tools are evolving, where they fit, where they overlap and where they truly show value.

TRACK C - Applications and the Security Role: Doing Business Securely
Applications run the business. The first task is to make sure they work and meet the requirements. Too often, the question "is it secure?" is an afterthought. Let's try to fix that.

Analyst/User Roundtables

What is an Anyalyst/User Roundtable?
Analyst/User Roundtables offer end-user attendees the opportunity to join a one hour roundtable discussion on a pre-determined topic. These one hour discussions are focused on specific topics, moderated by a Gartner analyst, and are limited to ten (10) end-user attendees per session. The roundtables are a great forum for hearing about what situations your industry peers are experiencing and how they are approaching similar issues.
Consultants and Sales Professionals are not permitted to attend these sessions.

Analyst One-on-One Meetings

Delegates from Gartner client organisations attending the Applications: Trends & Technologies Summmit may reserve one private half-hour appointment with a Gartner analyst. Delegates from non-client organisations may reserve one appointment with a Gartner analyst, but must be accompanied by a Gartner account representative. Appointments are subject to analyst availability and can be made pre-event via Agenda Builder or onsite at the One-on-One Booking Desk located on Level 1, Parkside Foyer.
