  Robert Shaw is a world famous expert on trends in CRM. His pioneering book Database Marketing defined the ground rules in 1987, followed by Computer Aided Marketing and Selling (1991), Measuring and Valuing Customer Relationships (2000), Marketing Payback (2005) and most recently his Return on Ideas report (2009). As well as researching and writing, he is a founding director of Value Based Marketing Forum, a strategic consulting firm that advises top execs in major corporations and professional bodies.
