Robert Fuhr created Historical Perspectives in 1998 in order to promote emergency preparedness. Robert spent fifteen years in the emergency services as a firefighter/paramedic and held command and executive leadership positions in the fire, rescue and emergency medical disciplines. Robert frequently created intense and realistic disaster exercises and developed comprehensive emergency and safety plans for dozens of events and organizations. His business continuity expertise began with the sales and general management positions he held during eleven years with Iron Mountain, the world’s largest provider of highly-secure off-site information management and protection.

Richard Hunter is group vice president and Gartner Fellow in Gartner Executive Programs (EXP), where his recent work has focused on IT risk management and the business value of IT. Mr. Hunter is the author of the acclaimed book "World Without Secrets," (Wiley, New York, 2002), and co-author of "IT Risk" (HBSP, Boston, 2007). He is in much demand as a speaker and advisor to CIOs.
Mr. Hunter was appointed vice president and director of research for application development in 1998 and was also a research director in GartnerG2. He joined Gartner as a research director in the application development and management service. Mr. Hunter is co-author, with James Kerr, of "Inside RAD" (McGraw-Hill, 1994). He was appointed a Gartner Fellow in 2002.
