Agenda Tracks

Track 1: Putting BPM into Practice
What is the value of process-centric thinking and how do I take my process-centric strategies and turn them into business results? Designed for the BPM practitioner, this broad look at process will blend research on BPM, BPO and process agility with an old-fashioned gut-check about what is hype and what is real. This track provides actionable details on "making processes work" and outlines best practice for process governance programs, as well as popular methodologies for BPM and software development.

Track 2: Building a Process-Centric Infrastructure
This track, targeted at more-technical attendees, will overview the major elements that underpin a process-powered infrastructure. Business Process Management Suites (BPMSs), Business Rule Management Systems (BRMSs) and Business Process Analysis (BPA) tools, and SOA are just a few of the technologies and concepts we will review. Attendees of this technical track will gain an understanding of the major vendors and the technologies that will implement the infrastructure portion of a BPM strategy.

Track 3: Organizing for BPM
BPM requires a change to your culture, which is always a challenge. Process-centric business transformation impacts organization models, skill sets, values and the lives of the employees in your organization. By not reviewing your organizational readiness you are playing Russian roulette with BPM success. Appropriate for non-technical and technical audiences, this track will offer how-to advice on best-practices for getting started with BPM, validating your existing process efforts, and help you understand key elements of organizational readiness needed for BPM.

Virtual Track: Building Agility into the Enterprise
Agility is the ability of an organization to sense environmental change and respond efficiently and effectively to that change. We will guide you to the presentations that highlight one or more aspects of agility. These include: sensing opportunities and threats in the business fabric; promoting a flexible infrastructure, capable of embracing change; responding effectively and efficiently; adapting to a changing environment. Sensing, strategizing, deciding, communicating, acting: these are the critical elements of agility, and BPM plays a central role.
