Eddy has 20 years of experience in performing BPM related projects, both as a consultant and as an internal practitioner, including developing and facilitating workshops and training. He has been working as a project leader and internal management consultant at Fortis Bank (Brussels) and as a business consultant and manager at Cap Gemini. In 2000, he founded Ideas@Work, a Belgian consulting company specialized in BPM related services (projects, methods, training, coaching). He is a guest teacher at the Vlerick Leuven Ghent Management School and the EPM management program of UWE (Union Wallonne des Entreprises). Education: Information Technology, Economics, Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Banking must embrace rigorous compliance requirements from regulators and, due to increased competition, stringent requirements placed on it by demanding customers. In order to articulate these requirements effectively and also meet the objectives of the shareholders, an innovative solution was required; one that would enable project leverage where possible. To enable projects to leverage each other as much as possible, the ABN AMRO BPM solutions department designed and implemented a Business Process Management methodology. This methodology or approach leveraged external best practice processes and created one compliant Business Architecture which encompassed multiple requirements and viewpoints from disparate groups: business, IT, compliance, operational risk, finance and audit. This comprehensive Business Architecture is the basis for the implementation of one global Group Finance SOA.

Daryl Plummer is a group vice president and Chief Gartner Fellow. He manages the Emerging Trends group in Gartner and is a primary analyst in software infrastructure. He is responsible for research in Internet platforms and Web services, applications development, application integration and middleware, emerging trends and technologies, and enterprise architecture. Mr. Plummer also manages the Gartner Fellows program, which is designed to allow senior analysts the opportunity to explore new research ideas and to elevate the Gartner culture and brand with clients.

Mark Raskino is a vice president and Gartner fellow in the Emerging Trends group of Gartner Research. Mr. Raskino researches emerging business technology megatrends, analyzes how CEO agendas impact IT, and co-authors Gartner's annual "CIO Resolutions." He also co-chairs Gartner's annual Emerging Trends (Spring) Symposium.
