As a Vice President and Distinguished Analyst in Gartner Research, Nick Jones’ research focuses mainly on mobile and wireless business and technology. This includes business-to-employee (B2E) and business-to-consumer (B2C) applications of mobility as well as mobile application development and delivery technologies including J2ME, and compact .NET. He also covers mobile payments; and emerging trends and technologies in the industry. His secondary research interests include the social impact of technology, and European IT issues. Before joining Gartner, Mr. Jones built an impressive track record in IT, from both the user and vendor perspectives. He has worked for consulting organizations and software tools vendors in a variety of roles including technical consulting, product management, product selection and evaluation, globalization and product architecture.

Bob Hafner is the Managing Vice President of Gartner Research's Enterprise Communications Application Team. Mr. Hafner sets the worldwide research direction and framework for this team, which focuses on voice, contact centers, unified communications and mobile applications migrating to IP applications. Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Hafner was employed by the Bank of Nova Scotia, where his responsibilities included network design, network and system performance, capacity planning, product evaluation, acquisition management and implementation.

As a Vice President in Gartner Research Steve Blood’s coverage focuses on Unified Communications, contact center applications, the evolution of telephony in converged enterprise networks and the development of communications-enabled business processes. Mr. Blood tracks the primary vendors, channels and service providers for the EMEA market advising end users, vendors and service partners on technology and market adoption. Mr. Blood has more than 16 years of experience in the IT industry. Prior to joining Gartner, he was product marketing manager at Rockwell Electronic Commerce, where he was responsible for the next-generation contact center portfolio. Before that, he spent more than 10 years in the telecommunications industry in product management, sales and technical support roles for BT, Mercury Communications and NTL.
