Gartner Analyst Opening Keynote: Revolution, Part 2
A societal revolution looms. Advancing technology is eliminating complexity and, in many functions, the need for skilled labor. Your skills and the business model you defend simply won't matter—they won't save your job or your company. Four decades of technology automation transformed business, but now those gains are harder to find. Yet the impact of technology on society has just begun, and it will dwarf the advances we have seen to date. In the second half of the Information Revolution, attention is already moving from transaction to interaction and from value-add to value-defining. Great business opportunities will arise for those who can grasp them and raise the game. How will you help your company seize these ground-shaking challenges while competitors founder? Participating analysts include (l. to r.) Jennifer Beck, Steve Prentice, Daryl Plummer, Mark Raskino and Sandy Shen.
