As a follow-up to our letter on February 12th, we would like to update you on the acquisition of Burton Group by Gartner, and answer some questions regarding analyst coverage, client service and upcoming events.

First, we are currently recruiting 7 new highly tenured, experienced analysts to join the Burton Group research team. These analysts will increase the depth and breadth of research you receive as part of your current entitlements. Looking further ahead, we will recruit additional analysts in line with growing demand from clients worldwide. This will ensure we continue to provide the same high standard of analyst support and access you have come to expect from the dedicated team at Burton Group.

We are also working hard internally to maintain and enhance the world-class client service you currently receive from Burton Group. This includes the continuation of hour-long dialogues between clients and analysts, providing personal assistance with locating the right research and advice to meet your specific needs, and maintaining the broad-access pricing model that allows you and your colleagues to benefit from our products and services.

Finally, we�re delighted to host the annual Catalyst conferences in Prague on April 19th-22nd and San Diego July 26th-30th. As in previous years, these world-class, must-attend events for IT professionals focus on helping attendees save money and do more with what you already have, in addition to looking at how the �new normal� business operating environment is an opportunity for innovation and growth, not just cost reduction. We hope to see you there.

Q. Will Gartner honor existing contracts?
Gartner will honor all existing client contracts and clients will be able to renew the products and services they currently receive. We also recognize that some clients of Burton Group and Gartner will want to merge accounts and contracts. We will work with those clients to do whatever works best for their organization.

Q. Will the products and services I bought change?
Gartner will continue to honor all current Burton Group entitlements. Specifically, Burton IT1 and individual research & advisory services will be renewable by existing clients.

Q. What is the future product strategy?
In Q3 2010 we will release a new version of the Burton Group website that will leverage the best features from both Burton Group and Gartner.

Q. Will I continue to access research via www.burtongroup.com?
Burton Group clients will continue to access their research via burtongroup.com. Additionally, we plan to create linkages between the gartner.com and burtongroup.com websites to make it easier for clients of both companies to access our research.

Q. Will the Burton Group Catalyst conferences continue?
We are very excited to add this world-class conference to our global events portfolio. The 2010 Catalyst conferences scheduled for 19-22 April in Prague and 26-30 July in San Diego will take place as planned and we look forward to seeing you there.

Have Burton Group analysts been retained?
Gartner extended offers of employment to every Burton Group analyst on January 5, 2010. We have retained 98% of the analysts from the original team. We are very pleased with this result and we will make every effort to ensure that our clients continue to have access to the very best analysts in their field.

Have Burton Group research topics changed?
Burton Group research topics have not changed. Clients will continue to obtain the same valuable research and advice they received from Burton Group before the acquisition.

Sales & Service

Will my sales representative stay the same?
Burton Group sales representatives will continue to support their existing clients.

Will pricing change?
We do not plan to increase prices as a result of this acquisition. Upon renewal, clients can expect our traditional nominal annual price increase.

Brand

What will happen to the Burton Group brand?
We recognize the value of the Burton Group brand, and therefore, we intend to retain it.
