Gartner strives to meet the highest standards for accuracy and thoroughness in our research and editorial coverage. When oversights occur, however, we will list them below.

29 December
"User Survey Analysis: Global IT Security Purchasing Behaviors, 2011" (G00209508) has been republished to correct the reference to outsourcing in the following sentence from 113% to 13%: "Gartner survey respondents indicate that the majority of their IT security budget is allocated to personnel (35%), software (20%) and hardware (18%); however, significant levels of budget are set aside for outsourcing (13%) and consulting services (14%)." In "Retail Time and Labor Vendor Update, 2010" (G00209222), we've corrected colors in Figure 4. A corrected version of the document is now available on gartner.com.

"Market Insight: Oracle Shows Improvement Targeting Wholesale Distributors at Oracle OpenWorld 2010" (G00209462) has been revised, eliminating a section that detailed team members responsible for Oracle's wholesale distribution industry initiative. The modification does not materially change any position Gartner stated in the report. The updated document can be seen on gartner.com.

"Analysis of Slovakia as an Offshore Services Location" (G00206675) has been republished to change Slovakia�s cost rating from "very good" to "good" in Table 1. An updated version of the document is now available on gartner.com.

"Competitive Landscape: Middle East GCC Countries' IT Professional Services Market" (G00208914) has been republished to combine development and system integration into a single column in Figure 2 and to change Wipro data in Table 2. "MarketScope for Insurance Incentive Compensation Management Applications" (G00209140) has been republished to include "Mastek" along with each instance of "MajescoMastek" to ensure the company's name is recognized globally. An updated version of this document is available on gartner.com.

"Market Share Analysis: Preliminary Total Semiconductor Revenue, Worldwide, 2010" (G00209488) has been republished to correct our estimated revenue figure for MediaTek in Table 1 (the totals in the table were also affected). An updated version of the document is now available on gartner.com.

"Magic Quadrant for Oracle ERP Implementation Services, North America" (G00207427) has been republished to correct the reference to SAP within the consulting and system integration definition. The definition is independent of vendor products. An updated version of the document is now available on gartner.com.

In "Competitive Landscape: Help Desk Outsourcing, Europe" (G00208337) has been revised to include the names of four major help desk clients supported by HP in Europe. They are Ahold, AWE, SABMiller, and Thorntons. The list was submitted after publication of the document. An updated version of the document is available on gartner.com.

"What to Do About Fax Before It Becomes a Problem" (G00208905) was republished to add four more cloud fax vendors to Table 1. An updated version of this document can now be found on gartner.com.

"Toolkit: My Hype Cycle, 2010" (G00207081) has been republished to add a "Sample Vendors" column to the master spreadsheet. An updated version of the document is now available on gartner.com.

24 November
"Magic Quadrant for Data Integration Tools" (G00207435) has been published to correct a term in the Cautions section for Microsoft. In this section, we had called the next version of SQL Server "SQL Server 11. " As this product does not yet have an official name, we have replaced this with the product�s code name of "Denali." An updated version of the document is now available on gartner.com.

"Predicts 2011: PPM Goes From Managing Projects to Managing Value and Change" (G00208607) has been republished to correct the dates and wording of the predictions in the Strategic Planning Assumptions section. These predictions now match the Strategic Planning Assumptions in the body of the document.

"SWOT: Cisco's Data Center Business� (G00206863) has been republished to correct the definition of the Cisco product UCS to "Unified Computing System." An updated version of this document is available on gartner.com.

In "Predicts 2011: New Delivery Models and Requirements Drive the Evolution of Finance, HCM and Procurement Applications" (G00209156), we have corrected the 2013 Strategic Planning Assumption to show that, by 2013, 90% of enterprises with greater than $500 million in spending will have a technology-driven procurement transformation project. "Marketing Essentials: How to Tell the Business Process Utility Story When You're a Traditional BPO Provider" (G00208899) has been republished to clarify that traditional business process outsourcing is labor-based and custom-managed. A revised version of "Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Content Management" (G00206900) has been published. The first bullet point in the section on Laserfiche has been expanded and now reads: "Laserfiche has positioned itself as a vendor of lower-cost offerings for small and midsize enterprises needing U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) 5015.2-certified records management. At the time of writing, Laserfiche offers the only DoD-5015.2-certified integration for Microsoft SharePoint 2010." In addition, the Web address of Hyland Software has been changed. "Packaged Policy Administration Systems Won't Address All the Needs of Asia/Pacific Life Insurers" (G00207103) has been republished to correct data for 3i Infotech Asia Pacific in Table 1. The number of Asia/Pacific installations has been changed from four to five, and the number of countries/regions with installations has been changed from two to three. In "E-Commerce Merchants Grapple With Payment Processing Complexity" (G00208184), under Figure 2, we have added a footnote to clarify that the figure shows capabilities available through payment service providers. An updated version of this research is available on gartner.com.

"Magic Quadrant for User Provisioning" (G00206614) has been republished to clarify that Omada is not the only vendor that can augment Microsoft Forefront Identity Manager. Also, in the Market Maturity section, Bhold has been added to a list of vendors offering component stand-alone solutions in the role life cycle management market. A revised version of the document is now available on gartner.com.

In "Oracle OpenWorld 2010: A Milestone for Oracle�s ERP, SCM and CRM Applications" (G00208322) Oracle's time frame for its road maps for applications was changed from 12 months to 24 months in the "What You Need to Know" and "Event Facts" sections. In "Magic Quadrant for U.S. Telecommunications Service Providers" (G00206563) the second item in Sprint's "Strength" section was rewritten to clear up an ambiguity regarding the number of markets the company currently serves. In addition, the number of countries for which XO Communications has partnerships to provide IP and high-capacity circuits was increased from 23 to 46. "How to Determine if Open Source Makes Sense for Your Content Management Strategy" (G00175045) has been republished in order to qualify certain vendor categorizations. Specifically, in Section 2.1 "Primary Decision Criteria," we listed Alkacon Software in the category of "Partner Driven � Explicit," which was factually incorrect. Accordingly, we have moved Alkacon to the "Software Vendor Driven� category. We also listed some additional examples for the category "Partner Driven � Explicit." "Magic Quadrant for European Life Insurance Policy Administration Systems" (G00205613) has been republished to correct the Magic Quadrant graphic, which was inadvertently altered during processing. The positions of the vendors stayed the same in relation to one another, but the middle horizontal line shifted, moving one vendor (Linedata) into a different quadrant. We have replaced the graphic with a corrected one, reflecting that Linedata is a "Challenger."

"Forecast Analysis: Semiconductors, Worldwide, 2009-2014, 3Q10 Update" (G00206918) has been republished to correct Figures 1 and 3, which contained erroneous data. The figures have been recreated using the correct data. An updated version of the document is now available on gartner.com.

In "Solving the Inventory Management Puzzle" (G00205568), ToolsGroup was inadvertently left off a list of sample vendors offering additional software for supply chain modeling and simulation. "MarketScope for Enterprise Records Management" (G00201565) has been republished to correct an error regarding Laserfiche. The document wrongly stated that Laserfiche Records Management Edition 8.1.2 was one of the first records management products to be jointly certified to Department of Defense Directive 5015.2 with SharePoint 2010. "User Survey Analysis: Cautious Buyers in the Nordics Likely to Increase Service Provider Spending If Trusted Provider Status Is Achieved" (G00174939) has been republished to correct a production error that resulted in the figures being improperly positioned throughout the document. "Market Trends: EMS and ODM Electronic Equipment Production, Worldwide, 2008-2013" (G00174850) has been republished to correct the units quoted in the title of Table 1. Emerging Market Analysis: IT, Brazil, 2010 and Beyond" (G00201215) has been republished to correct a production error. The document now correctly states in text that Brazil's total 2010 IT end-user spending is $101.3 billion and its IT share of real GDP is 9.6%. Updates pertaining to IT spending and growth projections appear in the two paragraphs preceding Table 1. The data in Table 1 remains unchanged. Competitive Landscape: Islamic Banking Systems, Worldwide, 2010" (G00205079) has been revised to correct the referrals section in our profile of 3i Infotech.
