- Adopting Unified Fabric at the new Cisco data center in Richardson, Texas it led to a 66% reduction in cabling a $2 million saving; and yielded 30% more compute capacity resulting in $50 million of savings.
- Where storage was concerned, we achieved cost avoidance over 4 years of more than $70 million. Managed storage increased from 25TB to 600TB per full-time employee, lowering OpEx considerably. And, overall utilization of storage increased from 20% to 68%.
- In terms of Total Cost of Ownership, the adoption of this framework will reduce TCO from 21 cents per megabyte to 1 cent per megabyte over 6 years.
- The benefits for servers included cost avoidance of over $20 million with 50% of existing servers and 75% of new servers virtualized. Server deployment time was reduced from 8 weeks to 3 days.
