The Salient Point: Special Edition

Partner Program expands into Middle East and India

Salient continued to ramp up its global presence in 2012 by accelerating full throttle into the Middle East/India region. The expansion is being fueled by 4 new Master Partners with a target of 3 sub resellers per Master, or 12 sub-resellers, for a total of 16 in the region. They will deploy on average 4 salespeople per Master (16) and 2 sales people per sub (24) for a total of 40 Salient salespeople in the region.

In 2011 Salient opened up the Asian market by appointing Emori & Co., LTD, a leading distributor of electronic materials and software based in Fukui City, Japan, as the exclusive distributor in Japan of Salient's state-of-the-art visual data mining software solution. In addition to the Middle East/India and Asia, Salient also has partners in the Philippines and Malaysia; Australia/Oceania; East and West Africa; and North, Central and South America.

The 4 Master Partners in the Middle East/India are Sol Analytics (Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) and India; Icon Technology Projects and Services/IT Pro (GCC and India); ECS ME LLC Dubai (GCC and India); and Snartak IT Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (India).

"Being focused on the ERP and CRM markets in Middle East and India regions over the past 10 years, we see that organizations are now looking to implement BI solutions to leverage their existing enterprise solution investments," says Jayesh Lalwani, Director at ECS. "After evaluating multiple options, we selected Salient as our partner for BI solutions to augment our existing portfolio. We are confident that through the low footprint and efficient BI solutions provided in the Salient suite, along with our project execution capabilities, we will be able to help our existing and new customers gain greater control over their internal and external assets and resources."

"We are making incredible inroads in the global marketplace in both developed and developing economies," says Mike Boyle, Salient's Vice President Strategic Accounts, who logged about 100,000 air miles to the Middle East and India last year. "Companies, products, services, capital and talent move across borders more easily than before. New market segments and economies are emerging and more companies have global ambition. The risks and compliance requirements have become complex and consumer preferences have become very dynamic. With our partners we offer the right blend of business and technology expertise to enable organizations to meet handle these situations."
