Ajay leads mobile product strategy for AppSense and is responsible for driving mobile product management and marketing, and developing new mobile product strategies and their supporting services. Prior to AppSense, Ajay was COO and co-founder of next generation BYOD solution provider RAPsphere (acquired by AppSense in 2012). Ajay has also held key positions as VP Worldwide Marketing and Product Management of Deeya Energy, Inc., VP Products and Services at Mashery, Inc., and VP Products and Solutions at newScale, Inc. (acquired by Cisco). Ajay holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Frank Baelus, who started his career in the business services of the BelgianFederal Public Service Finance was responsible during 8 years for IT operations, and since January 2012 took the challenge of developing a new division "Quality Assurance & IT Process Support" with a main focus on the overall quality of products and services and the customer satisfaction. The department ICT-Operations manages the datacenters of the FPS Finance and performs the operation of the computer systems in these datacenters. This includes, among other things, the day-to-day operations of the IT infrastructure and all the applications from the tax administrations.

Monica Basso is a Gartner Research vice president, specializing on enterprise mobility. Her research areas include mobile device management and security, mobile virtualization, BYOD (bring-your-own devices), mobile policies, mobile cloud file sharing and synchronization, social collaboration. She advises clients on building their mobility strategy, from segmenting mobile users to defining and enforcing policies, to delivering corporate applications on personal iPhone, iPad and Android devices. Ms. Basso is the Nokia's vendor lead. Ms. Basso contributed to the creation of the Gartner IT Market Clock Methodology and leads research in this area. Other areas of coverage include the impact of mobility on people, society and organizations; social trends affecting mobile technology adoption; generational changes in IT and digital natives; and innovation. Ms. Basso also leads Gartner's research into the growing impact of virtualization technologies on mobile products.

Per is responsible for the development of global strategies, tactics, workflows and processes to deliver a full suite of professional services centered on the core competences of TeamQuest. Prior to joining TeamQuest, Per worked for a global ERP-vendor for 10 years, holding a position as manager for worldwide QA.

Harald Berg works at Volkswagen in Wolfsburg, within the area of IT Processes, Tools and Infrastructure. His areas of responsibility cover WAN and network security, data center strategy, system automation, ITIL processes and supporting tools, LAN and IP Networks, CMDB project and project service portal. Since 1991, he has held several management positions throughout Volkswagen Globally and its subsidiaries and was responsible for the development and implementation of data center and communication services within the Volkswagen Group. Among other things, he developed the platform for the integration of national and international partners to Volkswagen infrastructure.

Vivek Bhalla is a Principal Research Analyst with Gartner's IT Systems, Security and Risk research group. His primary focus is on network management, covering areas such as network change and configuration management (NCCM), network fault and availability management, and network performance monitoring (NPM). He is part of the IT Operations Management team and is based in the Egham, U.K., office.

Daniel Bjørkman is Global Head of IT Infrastructure at Norges Bank Investment Management. He has 15 years of experience from all aspects of the IT Operations industry both as a provider and as a customer. For the last 5 years he has worked for Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM), which is a part of the Central Bank of Norway. NBIM manages the Norwegian Government Pension Fund - Global, with more than USD 700 Billion under management

Founder and board member of arago AG. Author of many academic and business publications, focusing on automation in IT operations, computer networks, IT security and information management. Mr. Boos is also active in several boards and supports the European startup scene as a HackFwd referrer. He studied computer sciences at ETH Zürich and the Technical University Darmstadt. R&D efforts are focused on distributed computing (graph theory) and rule engines (plus deductive logic). Both approaches are consistent with the notion of the network being a global area for computation and storage (Cloud and Big Data). Similarly they deal with the problem of ever growing information flows and with the desire to find intuitive ways of allowing businesses and their users to be in control of information and knowledge.

Jeffrey Brooks is a Research Director in the IT Operations Management team of Gartner. His research focuses on IT services management, including service desk, incident management, problem management, change management, process improvement (including the ITIL framework), and SLA management, as well as IT service catalog. Mr. Brooks helps clients understand the key metrics, best practices and core processes required for IT to deliver meaningful service and support that align to the goals of the business. Mr. Brooks has also authored numerous publications, including co-authoring "The Help Desk Manager's Crash Course" (2009), and he has received numerous individual and team awards, such as Customer Service Manager of the Year (2011) by the Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service, HDI Team Excellence Award for External Support (2010), and Customer Service Company of the Year (2009) at the NCTA 21 Awards.

Stewart Buchanan is a Research VP in Gartner's IT Asset Management and Vendor Management group, focusing on the economics, funding and ongoing management of enterprise software, information storage, hardware assets and related services. Mr. Buchanan has expertise in IT asset and vendor management, combining both supply and demand management. Specializations include funding and budgeting, TCO, software asset management, licensing under virtualization, and the life cycle chargeback of IT costs.

Will Cappelli is a Gartner Research VP in the Enterprise Management area, focusing on automation, event correlation and fault analysis, management system architectures, and real-time infrastructure issues.

Philip Dawson is a Vice President in Gartner Research and Agenda Manager. He specializes in virtualization, cloud, ERP and server infrastructure. Mr. Dawson is a leading authority on virtualization of Linux, Unix and Windows infrastructure platforms. He focuses on virtualization, portfolio consolidation, ERP migration and rationalization processes as key components of his virtualization coverage and enabling cloud delivery. He has been at Gartner for 13 years and has more than 26 years of experience in the IT industry.

Michael Disabato is a research vice president in Gartner for Technical Professionals Research. Mr. Disabato covers wireless and mobility technologies for end-user organizations, mobility policy and governance, and organizational change. Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Disabato was a senior manager in network engineering for WorldCom Conferencing and held duties at McDonald's Corp. as an enterprise architect for security, network manager, and manager of the applied technology lab. With over 35 years of experience in consulting, application development, networking, security, mobility and technology assessment, Mr. Disabato was named one of the 10 visionaries in 1993 by Communications Week Magazine and one of the 50 Most Influential People in Networking Industry by Network Computing Magazine.

Valdis Filks is a Research Director for Storage Technologies and Strategies in Gartner Research.

John has been with Virtual Instruments since early 2009, originally leading the WW Solutions Consulting team and brings over 18 years of experience in Marketing, Product Marketing, Sales and Sales Engineering.”

Milind Govekar is a managing vice president with Gartner Research. In addition to leading a global research team, his research focus is on cloud management platforms, IT financial management technology, workload automation, performance and capacity management, and IT service management. He is often invited to be a keynote speaker at events globally, is a research conference chair for Gartner I&O events, and frequently works with and advises executives, globally, in large and small enterprises, investors, governments, technology and service providers.

Cameron Haight is a Vice President in Gartner Research. His primary research focus is on the emerging IT philosophy known as DevOps and associated technologies, processes and organizational structures. He is also developing the concept of the "cloud operating model," which seeks to enable enterprises to develop capabilities typically found only in large cloud services providers, such as Amazon and Google.

Ian Head is a Research Director and part of the IT Operations and Management team. His primary focus is service management and service improvement, especially using the ITIL framework and ITScore for Infrastructure and Operations. Mr. Head also researches and advises extensively on capacity and performance management, where his hands-on experience is highly valued.

Born 1970, Mathias Hehn has a German Diploma (comparable to a MS CS) in Computer Sciences, and worked for an international systems integrator for more than 14 years. Hehn started with Java Software Development, then moved over to Technical Consulting and finally Management Consulting within the areas of Business Process Management and Enterprise Architecture Management. During more than 14 years Hehn had several opportunities to present projects worldwide, and was invited by IBM to the IMPACT (WebSphere conference) 4 times, and to other events in Germany, France and the US for several times. In March 2012 Hehn joined the Volkswagen Management Board, being the Program Manager for the international service portal called i.Serve. Shortly after, he was nominated as Process Owner Request Fulfillment (Volkswagen Group, all 12 brands, worldwide) and thus responsible for rolling out our ServiceNow Service Catalog worldwide for more than 620,000 users. In his role, he presents ServiceNow's solution to an international audience almost weekly.

Nathan Hill is a Research Director in Gartner Research, where he is part of the IT Systems, Security and Risk group. His research covers end-user computing, with a primary focus on desktop virtualization, including, but not limited to, hosted virtual desktops and server-based computing. In addition, Mr. Hill assists organizations in the justification and planning of technology deployments.

Andrew Hillier is a noted expert in the fields of virtualization and cloud computing, and is a frequent speaker on the topic.  He has over 20 years of experience in pioneering advanced software solutions, including mission-critical business applications, enterprise systems management technologies, and predictive analytics for virtual and cloud management.  A co-founder of CiRBA, he leads product strategy and defines the overall technology roadmap for the company.

Eyup is Senior Consultant at Swisscom IT Services. The last two years he has been responsible as Project Manager for the development of the cloud platforms at Swisscom. Eyup Koç started his professional career more than 20 years ago as Founder and CEO of a software engineering company. Since there he worked in several Companies, e.g. as Head of IT Risk & Compliance at a Swiss financial institution. Eyup is also lecturer at the University of Applied Science in Berne and the Kalaidos University of Applied Science in Zurich for IT Governance, IT Management and Project Management.

Jonah Kowall is a research director in Gartner's IT Operations Research group. He focuses on application performance monitoring (APM), event correlation and analysis (ECA), network management systems (NMS), network performance management (NPM), network configuration and change management (NCCM), and general system and infrastructure monitoring technologies. These technologies are the foundation of operations, and they exist to make incident, problem and change management possible for these teams. Detailed Coverage: APM - Application performance monitoring includes end-user experience monitoring, application runtime architecture, user-defined transaction profiling, deep-dive monitoring, and analytics. ECA - Event correlation and analysis includes traditional event management, system and network fault and performance monitoring, and the analytics around events coming from multiple monitoring systems. BSM - Business service management is the representation of IT metrics to a business user, normally in the form of dashboards. NPM - Network performance monitoring is often considered a distinct area, since it can be used for network debugging, as well as monitoring and management of application performance. At Gartner, we are seeing convergence in this technology area with aspects of APM. NCCM - Network configuration and change management is the set of tools that operate in multivendor environments, enable automated configuration management, and help with the change management process, as well as compliance auditing. IT Operations Analytics - The multiple types of tools in this area include CEP, OLAP, unstructured data index and search, as well as behavior learning engines. These allow the understanding of data assisting with answering usage and capacity questions, as well as determining the root cause of an issue.

Paul LeBouille joined Gartner as a senior consultant in 2007. He has more than 13 years of experience in designing and assessing IT solutions and performing audits, both as a consultant and as a project and program manager in, among others, IT strategy, optimization, consolidation, resilience and security projects. Mr. LeBouille is a certified electronic data processing (EDP) auditor. His strength lies in combining the several areas of expertise in addressing and solving clients' business challenges by focusing on their IT challenges. Applying various proven methodologies, both from an audit as well as from a consultant point of view, has given him the opportunity to identify the actual issue for the client.

Alessandro Perilli is a research director for Data Center Strategies in the Gartner for Technical Professionals (GTP) research group. Mr. Perilli covers private cloud computing (mostly infrastructure as a service [IaaS] clouds) and server virtualization. His focus is on private cloud and virtualization management includes the following topics: self-service provisioning (portals and service catalogs), orchestration, capacity management, performance management, configuration and change management, VM life cycle management, virtual infrastructure management, chargeback, external cloud connectors (for hybrid cloud environments). Mr. Perilli also has a background in computer and network security and occasionally covers virtualization and cloud security.

Michael Quint, 45, Chief Information Officer of the international business line Société Générale Equipment Finance (SGEF) and its subsidiary GEFA Gesellschaft für Absatzfinanzierung mbH holds a degree in economics and social sciences (Dipl.-Kfm.) from the Technical University Dortmund. Michael has held several management positions in the areas of Information Technology and Business Administration. Before joining SGEF in 1996, Michael worked for the Fraunhofer Institute in the areas of Corporate and System Planning, Information Logistics and Business Process Optimizations.

Frank Ridder is a Research Vice President in Gartner Research in the area of IT services and sourcing. He mainly helps organizations through their complete sourcing activities for infrastructure services, including the data center and the end-user side. He is a leading author on multisourcing competencies, infrastructure utilities and cloud sourcing (for that, he won the Gartner Thought Leadership Award, 2012). Mr. Ridder manages the global IT services sourcing agenda. Prior to his work in the IT industry, he spent five years in the telecommunications industry. In addition to his work at Gartner, Mr. Ridder has lectured on IT services at the University of Applied Science in Neu-Ulm, Germany, since 2009.

Dr. Hing Wing To is the Vice President of Strategy and Product Management for Cloud & Smarter Infrastructure within IBM Software Group. His team’s mission is to direct the end-to-end product portfolio strategy to create and deliver Integrated Service Management solutions that help organizations effectively manage their infrastructures. Wing works with clients on their strategies for agile, open standards-based cloud environments that help them to meet the demands of the current business environment: supporting growth while driving efficiency and constraining or reducing costs; taking advantage of Mobile platforms and handling the associated expectations of BYOD and frequent updates.

Bettina Tratz-Ryan is a Research Vice President in Gartner Research, leading the research agenda for environmental sustainability that is developing recommendations for technology and service vendors and software providers worldwide. She manages the research delivery on approaches to build, position and implement operational green IT goals, such as energy management, materials and environmental solutions life cycle. In addition, Mrs. Tratz-Ryan is supporting clients in building a process- and strategy-focused environmental sustainability road map compliant to DIN EN ISO 14001 (1221-2009). Furthermore, she identifies ICT opportunity and research projects related to strategic sustainable themes, such as intelligent city, smart utility grid, smart transportation or intelligent workplace. Before that role, she was responsible for the analysis of strategic network transformation trends of communications service providers worldwide. With Gartner for 14 years, Mrs. Tratz-Ryan has more than 18 years of industry experience in IT networking for telecommunications, utilities, transportation, healthcare and local governments.

Leif-Olof Wallin is a Research Vice President in Gartner Research, where he advises enterprise clients on all aspects of networking infrastructure and services. He is the global key initiative lead for Mobile Enterprise Strategy within Gartner and also the agenda manager of the associated research agenda. His research has a special focus on enterprise mobility, where he pays special attention to mobile application infrastructure, mobile security, remote access, mobile device management and enterprise sourcing of mobile applications.

With over 20 years’ experience in the software industry, Richard has worked in a variety of senior roles, including Engineering, Product Management and Marketing. He is currently the Director of Product Management at NetIQ and is an expert in many technology areas, including cloud computing, virtulization, identity and access management, operating systems, and data center management. He has also held senior positions in engineering, product management and marketing for Novell, Citrix, Franklin Covey, and WordPerfect.
