The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) reduced its mobile services and devices by sixty percent, which is equivalent to nearly three-hundred mobile devices by offering users the opportunity to use their own personal smartphones and connect them to the network by using the GOOD Technology client. DHCS eliminates the one-time cost of buying smart phones, the significant monthly costs of voice and data fees, the costs of replacing lost or stolen phones, and the staffing costs of supporting and managing the inventory of mobile devices.
