Selection process for CRM Excellence Awards
Finalists for the "Excellence in Enterprise CRM" were selected based on how well a CRM initiative spanning multiple functions of the organization demonstrated excellence.
Finalists for the "Excellence in Sales, Marketing or Customer Services" Award were selected based on the qualities and results of an initiative or project that targeted a specific business function. All entries were evaluated on:
The ability to demonstrate excellence in implementation
Execution and support for using CRM applications and strategies to deliver a dramatically improved customer experience, while powering growth in both revenue and the customer base.
3 Finalists were selected for each category (Cross-Enterprise and Sales/Marketing/Customer Service) from submitted applications. Each finalist was asked to present their CRM use case to conference delegates at the CRM Summit Fall 2006 which took place Sept 11-Sept 13 in Chicago, IL (more details at gartner.com/us/crm). There, Gartner allowed conference participants to provide their feedback as to which of the finalists is the best example of CRM excellence. From this feedback two winners were selected. The winners were announced at the conference.
Selection process for the CRM Innovator Award
The winner of this new award will be selected by Gartner Analysts from submitted applications, and a follow up conversation with the best candidates. Projects will be evaluated on how well they demonstrated a particularly impressive level of creativity and innovation in their CRM initiatives. The entries will be evaluated on:
- An innovative use of existing technologies and strategies
- Leveraging of innovative technologies and strategies to solve "old problems"
