Bob Hafner is the managing vice president of Gartner Research's Mobile and Client Computing group. Mr. Hafner leads this team, which focuses on mobile devices, mobile applications, client computing hardware, tablets and operating systems. His own research focuses on mobile strategy, BYOD (Bring Your Own Device), mobile policy, mobile unified communications, and the blurring of computing and communications. Prior to this position, he managed the Communications Applications group which focuses on IP telephony, unified communications, and all aspects of mobile in the enterprise.
Previous Experience
Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Hafner was employed by the Bank of Nova Scotia, where his responsibilities included network design, network and system performance, capacity planning, product evaluation, acquisition management and implementation.
