Roles and Responsibilities

Dan Tolan is an analyst with Gartner's Tech Product Manager team within the Technology and Service Providers research unit. His research focuses on cross-domain product management issues with an emphasis on B2B enterprises. Mr. Tolan joined Gartner in 2022. Prior to Gartner, Mr. Tolan served in product management and product leadership roles for more than 20 years in companies of all sizes from startups to the largest enterprises. His experience spans hardware and enterprise B2B software product management in industries such as computer hardware, enterprise systems management, business service management, pricing optimization, travel revenue management, CPQ, social media, and mobile enterprise asset management. He has extensive experience in M&A strategy and integrating acquired products and teams at multiple firms and has also co-owned and managed multiple companies.
